New Hampshire has its share of extreme sports - but for those looking for "soft adventure," the choices are vast.
Your group can head out on the water for ocean, lake or stream kayaking or canoeing; there's whitewater rafting and fishing, too. Explore natural wonders like the Flume Gorge (Franconia Notch State Park), Polar Caves (Plymouth), or Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves; or take a hike with the Appalachian Mountain Club (Gorham). Hike from hut to hut, or bike from inn to inn. Design a downhill or cross country skiing vacation for first-timers to experts; or build a tour around rounds of golf at courses all over the state. Looking for the unusual? Consider adding dog sledding, ice sailing, rock climbing or hot air ballooning to your tour's mix of adventures.
