This event takes place at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord and is part of the 9th Annual Northeast Delta Dental International at Beaver Meadow Golf Course Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22. The women’s professional golf tournament is a tour stop on the Symetra Tour, the LPGA’s official developmental circuit.
The Northeast Delta Dental International is the only Symetra Tour event in New England. Although the competition takes place over three days, there are events throughout the week that include pro-am tournaments, a golf course walk and a junior golf clinic. The Symetra Tour, also known as “The Road to the LPGA”, consists of 16 tournaments played in 11 different states and Mexico. The Tour consists of over 300 women professionals representing 33 different countries. More than 500 Symetra Tour alumni are members of the LPGA and through 2011, alums own a total of 362 LPGA victories and 39 major championships. This year, the Symetra Tour tournament purse for players is nearly $1.8 million.
