Description

The Squam Lakes Association (SLA) is dedicated to conserving the natural beauty, peaceful character and unique resource values of the lakes and surrounding area. The Association promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region. The SLA offers year round community, seasonal youth and sailing programs, and more. Canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals are available to the public Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend. Camping on Squam Lake is available May through October. With the help of volunteers, the SLA maintains over 50 miles of hiking trails around the Squam Lakes watershed.
